I am a current Junior at the University of Iowa studying finance and business analytics, and plan to graduate in the Spring of 2026. While at Iowa I have tried to get as involved as possible. I continued my love for philanthropy through various organizations such as Dance Marathon, Letters of Love, and the Boys and Girls Club of Iowa City. I have also been blessed with many other great opportunities such as the President of my fraternity, a teaching assistant for Financial Management, overseeing operations in the Tippie Computer Lab, and bartending, just to name a few. I interred in wealth management last summer and will be doing it again this summer. Through coursework as well as this experience I am sure this is the field for me.
Applied Wealth Management is taught by Nathan Koch and fulfills a finance elective. In this class we were broken into groups and assigned a random simulated client. As a group we acted as this client's financial advisor, giving various presentations on background, asset allocation, estate planning, and more. The other part of the class is managing the Marberry Fund through the University of Iowa which is used to help the finance department.
In this class I was able to build my communication skills through various assignments and projects. Last summer during my internship I saw this class help as I was more prepared to present in front of company leaders, send emails, and communicate professionally overall.
Digital Product Management is taught by Michael Colbert and fulfills a business analytics elective. This class forced me to think in ways I normally do not. Being a double major with finance requires two different ways of thinking. This class gave me more experience with GitHub, as well as introduced me to visual code studio, while being able to grow in my HTML coding.
With strong organizational skills, I effectively manage tasks and time, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
Through hands-on experiences in various roles, I have gained leadership skills that have helped me gain confidence in leading a team.
Through effective collaboration, I work seamlessly with teams to share ideas, solve problems, and achieve common goals, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
Through various roles, the job search, and an overall interest in gaining knowledge, I have built networking skills to help me in my future.
